"Incident in Hornby, Christchurch"
Following a call to Police at 6.51pm, Police responded to a report of an assault on person on a residential road in Hornby, Christchurch.
On attendance Police have found one male has been injured.
That person has been taken to hospital with a serious leg injury.
Police are making enquiries to ascertain how that injury was sustained.
Police believe this is an isolated incident and the general public is not thought to be at risk.
However, if any member of the public has concerns they should not hesitate to call 111.
