Arrest following death in Opotiki overnight
A male is in custody following an incident in Opotiki last night where a woman has died.
Police were called to an address on Wellington Street, Opotiki last night following reports of a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival at the scene a male was taken into custody and Police performed CPR on a woman at the address however this
was unsuccessful.
A homicide investigation has been launched and a 35-year-old man will appear in Whakatane District Court today charged
with murder.
