Stabbing incident in Papakura

Two people have been taken to Middlemore Hospital following a stabbing incident in Papakura this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the address on Willis Road around12.25pm.
A woman is in a critical condition following the incident, while the male has non-life threatening injuries.
Police have now cordoned off the scene and ask motorists to avoid the intersections of Sheehan Avenue, Kelvin and Willis Roads.
We are still seeking to establish what has occurred at the address and will provide further information when it is available.
Police do not believe there is any on-going risk to any other members of the public.
