Cloverlea incident – Police cordon scaled back
As of 3pm, the Gillespies Line cordon has been lifted to allow people who live on Peters Ave, Fox Place and Tararua Terrace access to their homes.
The Police cordon remains at Benmore Ave and Herbert Ave. This means the houses within this cordon remain inaccessible to residents until we can clear this area.
Once again, Police would like to thank the public for their continued patience and co-operation.
We would also remind those still affected by this incident that a welfare centre has been set up at the Cloverlea Tavern on Tremaine Ave, to provide community support for anyone who needs it.
