"Man charged in relation to hunting death"
A 57-year-old Hastings man has been charged with Careless Use of a Firearm Causing Death in relation to the death of another man during a hunting trip.
Danny Jordan, 23, was shot whilst hunting in the Sparrow Hawk track area of the Ruahine ranges on the 31 March 2016.
The man facing charges is to appear in the Hastings district court next week.
As this is now before the Courts, Police cannot comment any further.
