Update on incident involving 10-year-old in North Canterbury
The following statement can be attributed to Acting Senior Sergeant North Canterbury Brendon Strieker:
Police are assisting Worksafe NZ with an investigation into a workplace incident involving a 10-year-old boy in Fernside, North Canterbury yesterday.
The boy is in a serious but stable condition in intensive care following an incident involving a moving water tanker about 2.30pm.
Police’s thoughts are with him and his family during this difficult time.
Police are unable to comment further at this stage while the investigation is ongoing.
