Celebrate Franklin’s Kids this Sunday
This Sunday sees the return to Pukekohe of the Franklin Youth Advisory Board’s annual Children’s Day, celebrating local children and their families.
Held at Samuel Miller Reserve, the day will feature a range of attractions and entertainment including stalls, a sausage sizzle, face painting, local performances and games.
This year’s Children’s Day has once again been organised by the Franklin Youth Advisory Board, with support from a range of community organisations including Porse, Franklin Family Support Services and the Franklin Local Board.
“For the seventh year in a row, we have planned an exciting day of events, stalls and activities for Franklin kids and their families to enjoy,” says Loren-Crystal Pitt, chairperson of the Franklin Youth Advisory Board.
The day is recognised across New Zealand on the first Sunday in March, with events planned throughout the country.
