Witnesses Sought to Serious Motor Vehicle Accident

Witnesses Sought to Serious Motor Vehicle Accident, SH45 and Hurford Road New Plymouth.
Police were called to a serious motor vehicle accident at about 6am this morning.
The vehicle, a Nissan Sentra coloured grey, failed to negotiate a moderate bend at Hurford Road whilst heading north towards New Plymouth on SH45. The vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree.
The 42 year old woman driver and only occupant has been taken to Taranaki Base Hospital with serious injuries.
Police and Victim Support are supporting family.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to kindly make contact with them.
