Fatal workplace accident - Otorohanga - Waikato
A man has died following a workplace accident at Otorohanga this afternoon. Emergency services were called at about 1pm to a report that a fuel tank had exploded at the premises of an earth moving company. On arrival Fire and Ambulance found a man with serious burns.
Despite efforts to revive him he died at the scene. The police are conducting an investigation into the incident on behalf of the coroner. No details of the victim or the circumstance of the accident are available.
