Massey & Birdwood: Rate Rises
"The 11.6% rate rise predicted for the Henderson Massey Local Board area will hurt the rate payer and could result in a
complete clean out of current elected members come the 2016 local government election in Auckland", says Massey & Birdwood Settlers Association residents and ratepayers Secretary John Riddell.
The Council is currently systematically going through and wiping off thousands of dollars of local organisations income,
they have all ready cut services for many residents and they have increased the cost of a number of services.
A vast majority of Councillors and Local Board members do not know how to read a balance sheet and are members of the
local authority without the backbone to say no to the Council Officers.
To make it worse in the west our public transport is a mess and our roading infrastructure even worse.
