The Empire Cinema in Island Bay has set a date for the highly anticipated re-opening.
Locally owned and operated the newly vamped movie theatre promises to be a treasured gem of the community once again.
Opening May the 14th from 8am until late, Empire will be serving exceptional coffee and food, screening current movies
for all ages!
Pat and his crew have teamed up with People’s Coffee, one of New Zealand’s most respected fair-trade coffee suppliers.
The highly trained and passionate baristas promise to bring the best coffee in the Bay; serving from the newly renovated
eatery and from the street-side it’s perfect for locals grabbing a coffee on their way to work or enjoying over the
morning paper.
There has been an immense amount of excitement and support during the lead up to the re-opening with Facebook recently
reaching over 1500 likes! In response to this there is a chance for followers to win passes to the opening party over
the next three weeks.
A small and intimate pre-opening party will be hosted on the 13th of May to celebrate the beginning of a new era.
