Police searching for missing swimmer
The Police Maritime unit and Police Helicopter have unsuccessfully searched the Waitemata Harbour near the Devenport wharf for a missing swimmer.
At approximately 7.50 am this morning members of the public reported seeing a male dive into the water from the Devenport wharf.
He was not seen to resurface.
The identity of the male aged 18 years is known.
The Police Dive squad from Wellington will arrive in Auckland at 3pm this afternoon to conduct a further search.
