Homicide investigation launched in Epsom

Homicide investigation launched - Epsom, Auckland
Auckland City Police have commenced a homicide investigation following the death of a 54 year old man at Auckland Hospital this afternoon (operation Lena).
The man was initially located at 9am this morning (Saturday 27 December) in a motel room on Great South Road in Epsom where it was clear that a violent incident had taken place.
Police are looking to identify two men who were seen leaving the area shortly before he was located (photographs attached).
Additionally Police are interested to hear from anyone who may have seen a dark blue Range Rover between 8am and midday today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Andrew Fabish urges anyone who may be able to assist with this investigation to contact Police on 09 302 6400. Information can be provided anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
