Short delays on SH29 west of Tauranga next week
Motorists travelling on State Highway 29 (SH29) between Tauranga and Hamilton are advised to expect short delays for three days next week, while contractors resurface a stretch of the road.
Stop/go traffic management and a speed restriction of 30km/h will be in place between the Ngamuwahine Road Bridge and Soldiers Road Bridge, from Monday December 8 until Wednesday December 10, to allow contractors to reseal a 800m stretch of the route.
The NZ Transport Agency says work will be done between the hours of 9am and 4pm to avoid interruptions during peak traffic times.
The job is weather dependent and may be postponed if necessary.
The Transport Agency wishes to thank drivers for their patience and understanding while these works are underway.
