Missing Diver - Pourerere Beach

Missing Diver - Pourerere Beach, Omakere - Eastern
At approximately 2.30pm Sunday 23 November 2014 Central Hawkes Bay Police were notified that a diver had failed to surface at Pourerere Beach. A 56 year Hastings man had been snorkelling with another male and has failed to surface as they made their way back to shore.
The Lowe Walker Rescue Helicopter and local boaties assisted police in a search of the area but were unable to locate the male.
The Police national Dive Squad has been notified and will be assisting local Search and Rescue teams when conditions allow.
