Police appeal for witnesses to Riccarton assault
Canterbury Police are investigating the assault of a young woman in the Riccarton Road/Shand Crescent area between approximately 10-11pm yesterday (17 November 2014). A thorough scene examination is being undertaken today in Shand Crescent Reserve where the victim is reported to have been sexually assaulted by an unknown man.
Police ask anyone who was in the area between 10-11pm last night and saw any suspicious activity or are able to help with this inquiry to contact them on 03 363 7400 and select option 5.
