Rates billing mailout
A number of ratepayers were posted out a rates notice this week with either a credit balance or one showing $0.
Invoices with $0 or credit balances are normally not printed and posted so as not to cause unnecessary printing and postage costs, but this time, our postal provider accidentally triggered these to be printed and posted.
Our postal provider apologises for the error and has assured us that we and our ratepayers will be recompensed for the unnecessary printing and postage.
There are 1584 accounts affected by this error but we hope the majority of our customers will see there is nothing currently owing and simply file the account.
If you were one of our ratepayers who received these, we apologise for any initial concern you may have felt in the moments before you saw your correct balance at the bottom of the invoice.
