Investigation into Kelston death
Police investigating the death of a man in Kelston on Tuesday night are now able to release his name.
The victim has been identified as 51 year-old Brett Fraser.
A post-mortem examination was conducted yesterday however at this stage Police will not be discussing the results.
The investigation into Mr Fraser's death is ongoing and investigators have continued the scene examination today at the warehouse where Mr Fraser was living in Westech Place, Kelston.
Officers have also been conducting an area canvas, which includes making door-to-door enquiries of the surrounding residential and industrial area.
The 53 year-old man who was found injured at the property has now been released from hospital.
Detective Inspector Bruce Scott, Waitemata Police, says the enquiry team would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour in the area on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
"We're making progress but we need to hear from anyone who may have perhaps seen something that didn't look quite right in that area on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. If you have any information that might help Police please call the Henderson Police on 09 839 0600. Information can also be given anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111" says Det Insp Scott.
