Workplace accident victim named

Christchurch Police have released the identity of the man killed in a workplace accident at Lyttleton Port yesterday [Thursday 28 August].
He was Bradley Fletcher, aged 40, of Christchurch.
Mr Fletcher was working at Gladstone Pier in the port of Lyttleton, where the accident occurred.
Emergency services and Worksafe New Zealand Investigators were called to the scene at about 3.23pm yesterday (Thursday) after reports that a large scissor lift had tipped over and Mr Fletcher, the sole occupant of the lift, has fallen to the ground.
The matter has been referred to the coroner and an investigation into the cause of this incident is being conducted by Inspectors from Worksafe New Zealand and by Police.
