Parking rules out for review
18 August 2014
We've worked with our Community Boards on appropriate parking controls around the Coromandel, and now have a revised
draft bylaw for our communities to check over and let us know their feedback.
The parking control bylaw manages things like how long people can park in certain areas, bus stops and loading zones,
pay and display parking, and mobility parking. We've tried to make the bylaw easier to understand, and ensure parking is
available and there is fair access for everyone. We've also moved the rules about freedom camping parking out of this
bylaw and into the freedom camping bylaw so all the information about that can be in one place.
So, take a look and give us your feedback on our new draft. You'll find everything you need to know
Submissions close at 4pm on Friday 19 September 2014.
Freedom Camping, Dogs and Advertising bylaws now closed
The consultation period on our draft bylaws for freedom camping, dog control and control of advertising has now closed.
Submissions are still being counted, but at last count we have received over 300 submissions to dog control, around 130
to freedom camping, and around 20 to advertising.
The public hearing of submissions for freedom camping is on 26 August, and for dog control and control of advertising on
25 and 26 September.
