Police seek help to locate stolen medical device

Police are seeking help from the public to locate a piece of medical equipment taken in a burglary in Sydenham in the early hours of Thursday 31st July.
The medical device is a spinal cord stimulator programmer and is one of three in the country.
Twenty-two year-old Rebecca Jacques requires the device to manage chronic pain.
The device is valued at around $30k and is of no functional use to anyone else.
Rebecca is suffering significant effects without this device and police are hoping that it can be located and returned to her.
In the burglary other items including two x-boxes, a laptop, hard drive, perfume and gym bag were also taken.
Anyone with information that may assist in the recovery of Rebecca's property should contact Christchurch Police on phone 3637400.
