Wellington City Council P-Card Fraud Disturbing

Reacting to the Fairfax report that at least three Wellington City Council staff have been dismissed for fraudulently
misusing their Council p-cards, Taxpayers' Union Executive Director Jordan Williams says:
“The Council’s lack of controls are disturbing. What confidence can Wellington ratepayers have when basic failings allow
managers to sign off on their own expenses?”
“While the Council's CEO is trying to prevent a full audit of the council’s purchase cards, someone is before the courts
for fraud. If that’s not a wake up call, what is?"
