Severe weather expected over night - Northland
Due to severe weather and heavy rain forecast to hit Northland tonight
Police are urging people to avoid unnecessary travel.
If they have to be out during the night they should to take extra care on the road and to take precautions to ensure the
safety of themselves and their property.
Police will be rostering extra staff in the Northland District overnight to respond to any weather related incidents.
