Man arrested after liquor store robbery
Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in relation to the aggravated robbery of a Whangärei liquor store.
The man has been remanded in custody to appear in the Whangärei District Court on July 14.
On April 26 this year a man entered the Kamo Liquorland store and allegedly presented a firearm at the lone store assistant.
The man then left the store with some bottles of alcohol, some cash and cigarettes.
Police are still investigating the armed robberies of other liquor stores in the Whangärei area including the Whangärei Liquor Centre on Maunu Road, which
has been robbed twice, and the Super Liquor in Tikipunga.
