Waikato’s Annual Plan Hearings Begin
Residents will have the opportunity to discuss issues from Waikato District Council’s draft Annual Plan when hearings begin on Monday 26 May 2014.
Seven hundred and fifty five submissions were received during the public consultation phase, which ran from Tuesday 8 April to Thursday 8 May.
The Annual Plan is a summary of what Council hopes to achieve for the Waikato district in the coming year.
“Key issues identified in the submissions include bilingual signage, community engagement, fees and charges and proposed spending on community projects not included in the third year of the Long Term Plan” Waikato District Council Acting Chief Executive, Tony Whittaker, said.
The draft Annual Plan hearings will be held in three locations. The hearings will commence in Tuakau on Monday 26 May, 3pm in the Tuakau Hall Supper Room. They will continue in Raglan onTuesday 27 May, 3pm at the Bowling Club and in Ngaruawahia on Wednesday 28 May, 3pm in the Council office.
