Fatal crash in Hawkes Bay
Emergency services are in attendance at a fatal crash in the Hawkes Bay which was discovered about 4.40 this morning.
The sole male occupant was found in his car after it had left the road in a rural area and ended up in a stream. No other persons or cars are believed to be involved.
The Police Serious Crash Unit has been called in to investigate the matter but it is too early at this stage to get any indication as to what caused the accident.
Because family members of the male are yet to be advised Police will not be releasing further detail at this stage.
