Appeal to locate suspected fraudster

Police are seeking public assistance to locate 44-year-old Tony Ashley Gorrie in relation to prolific fraud offending against backpackers and accommodation providers nationwide.
He has been identified as the suspect for recent offending in the Taupo and Rotorua areas and there is a warrant for his arrest.
He is described as a white, European man, 185cms tall and medium build, is transient and known to travel large distances; so the appeal extends across New Zealand.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact their local police station. Information can also be provided anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
