Bomb threat in Taupo

Bomb threat in Taupo
Bay of Plenty, 17 February 2014 - At approximately 10.20am police in Taupo were made aware of a bomb threat to Taupo District Court. The threat had been made by a man via a telephone call.
Police evacuated the police station, the court house and the museum and put road cordons in place. There were no residential evacuations required.
A search of the building was then carried out. Nothing of concern was located and cordons were lifted at approximately 12.30pm.
Enquiries are ongoing to try to establish the identity of the person who made the threat.
