**Update on missing kayaker**

**Update**
The search for the missing kayaker has concluded for the night.  So far an aerial and ground search has not located the missing male.
The search will resume first light tomorrow with shoreline search, followed later in the morning with aerial search and Surf Life Saving team in their IRB’s.  The Police National Dive Squad will also be deployed to the area and will search the area where the male was last seen.
The details of the missing male will not be released tonight as some family are still to be advised.  However he is a 25 year old and lives in the Gisborne area.  Details of the female are not available tonight.
