Te Puia|NZMACI introduces free WiFi
Connecting with loved ones and sharing unique experiences is now even easier for manuhiri (visitors) to Te Puia|New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute (NZMACI), with the launch of a new, free WiFi service on site in Te Whakarewarewa Valley in Rotorua.
The free WiFi service is available across the entire site, including the world-famous Pohutu Geyser lookout, the Kiwi House and Ngāraratuatara Cooking Pool.
Te Puia General Manager Sales and Marketing, Kiri Atkinson-Crean, says establishing free WiFi has been a key priority for the attraction, following the introduction of the free smartphone app, STQRY, late last year which provides visitors with extra multimedia experiences.
“In this new electronic age, being able to access WiFi services is important for our manuhiri. It allows them to connect with friends and whānau and instantly share their experiences whilst they are here with us,” says Ms Atkinson-Crean.
“The new WiFi service means manuhiri can quickly and easily get online, either on a laptop or handheld device, to check emails, use social media or just to surf the internet. We know this sort of service will further enhance the visitor experience at Te Puia|NZMACI.
“We have embraced the WiFi trend to allow our manuhiri to stay connected to their online world. Most of our visitors are from overseas and would incur huge data costs without it.”
Visitors to Te Puia|NZMACI can simply log on to the service by searching for the free WiFi in their connection settings and entering the provided authentication code.
