Miccio’s Neighbourhood TV Debut to Raise Money for Hospice
A national television show featuring Nelson Mayor Aldo Miccio will be privately screened to raise funds for the Nelson
Tasman Hospice on September 16.
Neighbourhood, a TV One television series which explores and celebrates New Zealand’s cultural diversity, invited Miccio
to present Nelson’s increasingly multi-cultural landscape.
Miccio says the screening is an opportunity to celebrate Nelson’s diverse community whilst supporting Hospice.
“Our burgeoning culturally diverse community is integral to the vibrant heart and soul of our city, and is something I
am immensely proud of as an Italian Nelsonian, so it was a privilege to be asked onto the show,” says Miccio.
“This is an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate the range of nationalities and cultures in Nelson, so I strongly
encourage people to come along and join me to view the first screening of the show, in the knowledge they will also be
supporting Hospice.”
Nelson Region Hospice Board Chairwoman Elspeth Kennedy expresses support for Miccio’s fundraising initiative.
“Hospice is delighted to be involved with this fundraising screening of Neighbourhood and is extremely grateful that all
proceeds will go towards supporting Hospice in it's endeavours. Thank you TVNZ, State Cinemas and Aldo Miccio.”
Neighbourhood (TV One – Season 2, Episode 18) will screen on Monday September 16 at State Cinemas in Nelson. Tickets are
