Full description:
At 8:00am today, a truck has crashed into a railway signal box, at the intersection of Great South Road and East Mine Road, Huntly.
As a result this has affected all other railway crossing, that are controlled by lights, between Huntly and Ohinewai.
The affected railway crossings are situated at:
(1) East Mine Road, Huntly &
(2) Fisher Road, Huntly.
Kiwi Rail are sending staff to repair the damaged signal box and also man the affected railway crossings.
The repair is to take several hours.
There are no diversions in place but motorists are urged to take alternative routes until the repairs have been completed.
