Energizer New Zealand set to support Coastguard volunteers for two more years
Energizer New Zealand has presented Coastguard Northern Region with a cheque for $20,000 as part of their generous support and commitment of the region; it’s more than 1,000 volunteers and the thousands of people in our communities that enjoy the many waterways.
The Auckland based company has been a long term supporter of Coastguard since the initiation of the corporate relationship in 2005 and are set to show their support for the next two years. The sponsorship has seen them provide Energizer and Eveready battery and torch products for key operational use as safety and rescue equipment accessories to Coastguard volunteers all around the Northern Region. They are also extending product support through their personal care products such as Schick razors and Banana Boat suncreen. These are contributions that would be of significant cost to the charity otherwise.
David Tommas, Chief Executive of Coastguard Northern Region, says that they are delighted to have Energizer New Zealand’s continued support and look forward to continuing this successful partnership.
“Our future success and ability to deliver on our mission of saving lives relies on the development of sustainable funding streams. Our corporate partnerships are a large part of this equation, they are simply invaluable and something we work incredibly hard on”, he says.
Not only will Coastguard see a great product range available for key operational needs, they will also see heightened brand awareness through point of sale merchandise, an increased online presence and many other opportunities come their way over the next two years.
David Pattinson, General Manager of Energizer New Zealand, says that “through Energizer New Zealand’s’ mission of innovation, we work hard to not only enhance the lives of our customers and consumers but to also support community organisations such as Coastguard and the lifesaving work that they do.”
