Mayor in the Chair in Manukau
Len Brown is looking forward to setting up his chairs on his home turf of Manukau on Wednesday 13 March for one of his Mayor in the Chair sessions.
Mayor in the Chair sessions are regular, one-hour lunchtime events held in different areas around Auckland, when locals can pull up a chair and have a brief one-to-one chat with the Mayor about any topic they wish.
Len Brown holds the events all around Auckland, most recently at Matakana and on Great Barrier Island.
“I really enjoy the discussions I have at these sessions with Aucklanders from around the region, from all backgrounds and walk of life, about all manner of topics.”
“These sessions are a microcosm of democracy in action, a chance for me to listen to different points of view, to offer clarity and explanation about council decisions and activities, and sometimes just have a good old feisty debate.”
“I’m looking forward to heading southside for the next session.”
Len Brown will be in Westfield Manukau from noon to 1pm on Wednesday 13 March.
