Title: Police appealing for witnesses after Porirua stabbing
At about 2.00am this morning, Police and Ambulance attended a residential address in Niagara Street in Waitangirua.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam says "On arrival we have found two gang members, aged 42 and 20 years old, who appear to have suffered multiple stab wounds.
"Both men were immediately taken to Wellington Hospital, but we understand that the wounds are not considered life threatening.
"Police and ESR are carrying out a scene examination which is expected to take several days.
"We have seen gang violence in this area before, I would be very concerned that things do not escalate.
Kapiti Mana Police are appealing for anybody who was in the vicinity and may have seen what happened to contact them on (04) 238 1400.
