Motorcyclist killed in Rai Valley crash named
Police have released the name of the man who died when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a truck on SH6 between Nelson and Rai Valley yesterday.
He was Allan Ford, aged 73 years, from Horsham, West Sussex in the UK.
Mr Ford was holidaying in New Zealand for several weeks. He was riding with four other motorcyclists when the accident happened.
No one else was injured in the crash.
A serious crash investigation is still under way to determine the cause of the accident.
