Some information on the incident on the Auckland CBD incident this evening (October 3). Please note that the Police are the lead agency on this incident, so you will need to contact them for specific comments and details.
The following information can be attributed to John Takerei, St John District Operations Manager, Auckland Central.
* St John was alerted to this incident at 17.29pm, and we sent an advanced life support ambulance crew and team manager to the scene, which was on Gore St in the central city.
* The incident involved a female and young child who have fallen from a significant height. We do not have ages
* Unfortunately both people were deceased at the scene
* We did not transport anyone from the scene
* We are providing support for our staff due to the traumatic nature of the incident.
