Wall Street Mall Welcomes New Tenants
Dunedin (Friday, 14 September 2012) – Wall Street Mall will be offering shoppers even more variety with the addition of three exciting new tenants.
International fashion label Forever New has taken over the lease of the former Esprit site while Miracle, a babies’ and children’s gear shop specialising in New Zealand-made products, has recently moved into the mall. The third retailer which has been signed up will be announcing its plans soon.
Dunedin City Council Assistant Manager City Property Rhonda Abercrombie says all the retailers involved are an excellent fit with Wall Street Mall.
“They are an enthusiastic group of tenants and they are all excited by the prospect of being able to have a presence in one of the City’s leading retail spaces.
“It is especially pleasing to see an international brand like Forever New coming to Dunedin for the first time. They have indicated to us that they were attracted to the city by the great retail space offered in the Wall Street Mall.”
Forever New opens in Dunedin this weekend. Forever New is a fashion clothing and accessories brand, celebrating the feminine beauty of women.
Harriet Moir, who co-owns Miracle with Sam Cadman, says they are enjoying being in a fresh new space at the St Andrews St entrance.
“I think we are getting the best of two worlds by having a street frontage as well as being part of the mall. We are enjoying the increased foot traffic,” she says.
“For example we see a lot more blokes coming in here because they just happen to stumble across us and want to get to get something for their sister’s baby. That sort of thing.”
