Mayor in the Chair in Kingsland
Len Brown will pull up a chair in Kingsland on Friday 21 September for a Mayor in the Chair session.
Mayor in the Chair events are informal lunchtime sessions that allow people to get face to face with their mayor. People
are invited to come along, wait their turn, then have a brief one-on-one chat with Len Brown, to ask questions or share
their thoughts and concerns about their community. They are held regularly in different locations around Auckland.
“It’s important to me to hear directly from Aucklanders in different communities about the things that concern them.
I’ve recently held these sessions in Beachlands, Kelston, and Northcote, and talked about everything from the new single
rating system for the unified Auckland to local parks, public transport, trees, Auckland’s heritage and local plan
changes.”
“I also like to get out and support the good work our local board members and ward councillors do in their local
communities.”
The Mayor will set up his chair in the Rail Plaza Courtyard (outside Strickzin Salon, 442 New North Rd and the New North
Rd access to the Kingsland Train Station), from midday until 1pm on Friday 21 September.
