Koru Care NZ Indebted to Southern Stars Charitable Trust
It’s that time of the year again when Southern Stars Charitable Trust steps up to support Koru Care NZ with its fundraising toward their annual trip to Disney Land.
For well over 15 years Southern Stars Charitable Trust has been helping with funding for these annual trips which sees 26 kids with ongoing medical conditions, terminal illness or other challenges in their lives, go on a TRIP OF A LIFETIME
Ann Bain, Chief Executive Officer at Koru Care NZ stated, “Without the ongoing support from Southern Stars it would be an absolute struggle for us to be able to take the children on these trips.
Southern Stars, probably best known for its children’s shows at the ASB Logan Campbell Centre, will be staging through its Kids in Show Seats programme “Robinson Crusoe” to help raise funds for this year’s trip.
Southern Stars Charitable Trust said “working with an organisation such as Koru Care NZ is heartening. To see the looks on the faces of the children who depart on these annual trips, the excitement, the joy is very rewarding We feel privileged to be part of helping the children to have a couple of weeks of being children – allowing them to perhaps forget their illness and just enjoy being KIDS
Southern Stars and Koru Care NZ would ask anyone being approached to please support this year’s appeal. Sponsoring children to Robinson Crusoe will not only help fund the trip to Disneyland, it will also give children from many other deserving charities, or children who through circumstances, would never have an opportunity for an outing, to see a live stage show;
