Fatal Crash On Auckland Motorway
Location: South Western Motorway -
District: National Alerts
A person is dead after a car crash that occurred shortly before 10pm on the South Western Motorway.
The crash took place on the south bound lanes of the motorway between Bader Road and Massey Road. South bound traffic has been diverted onto George Bolt Memorial Drive. Motorists heading to the airport will be able to get there but there may be some delays as traffic slows due to that diversion.

Police staff are still at the scene and are investigating the cause of the crash, and the road will remain closed whilst the investigation is carried out.
The name of the person who died has not been confirmed at this time.
Police are keen to hear from any witnesses to the crash, and anyone with information can call police on 5712800.
