Christchurch: Serious Vehicle Colision
Location: Christchurch District: Canterbury
At approximately1102am today (01/11/09) police were advised of a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of West Coast Road (State Highway 73) and Buchanans Road near Christchurch.
Emergency services rushed to the scene where it was established two cars had collided. As a result of the collision one male has died and two patients have been taken to hospital, one with serious injuries.
Police and Serious Crash Unit are at the scene and have commenced investigations.
The road has been closed and members of the public can expect delays.
