Roger Sowry Appointed To Citylink Board
CityLink is delighted to announce the appointment of Roger Sowry to the board says, Chairman David Ware.
“We have been on the look out to find an independent director who knows business and understands the workings of government who can help take CityLink to the next level and we are confident we have found the right director in Roger.
Roger Sowry has extensive experience in management and government, having spent 15 years in parliament, 3 as a Cabinet Minister and more recently headed Arthritis New Zealand for 3 years. Roger will provide another layer of business and relationship expertise that will ensure CityLink can maximise the opportunities that arise from the new fibre strategy.
“CityLink is natural Local Fibre Company (LFC) for the Wellington Region, and this strength comes from its robust and trusted existing network and the relationships it has forged with local government partners. Those relationships will be key to expanding the fibre network that City Link has already in the Wellington region.
“CityLink has plans to roll out more fibre in the region and the governments strategy will mean that those plans will be advanced more quickly, concludes Mr Ware
