Kids cut loose with Manukau’s spring school holiday programme
The spring school holidays are just around the corner and Manukau Leisure Services has put together an exciting range of fun activities guaranteed to keep the kids entertained.
Archery adventures, dune sliding, ice skating, movies, arts and crafts, and trips to the Auckland Zoo, MOTAT, Rainbows End and Butterfly Creek are just a few of the school holiday activities available for 5 to 14 year olds across the city from 29 September to 10 October.
Te Matariki Clendon Community Centre is holding an athletics day and includes ten pin bowling as one activity. Manurewa Recreation Centre’s programme features a picnic in the gardens, a board games day and a visit to Rainbow’s End.
Moana-Nui-A-Kiwa Leisure Centre’s exciting programme includes a Disney day, aqua fun in the pool and movies with fish and chips! Otara’s kids can enjoy a shipwrecks and warships trip and wacky Tuesday, while at Allan Brewster Recreation Centre participants can get active in mini Olympics or a hip hop dance fest.
Howick Recreation Centre is holding archery adventures, a spring party and participants get to go dune sliding and to MOTAT. Pakuranga’s programme includes fear factor Friday, and trips to Rainbow’s End, Auckland Zoo and bowling.
Manukau on the Move’s Teen Extreme programme has a host of outdoor action-packed pursuits for 12 to 16 year olds. From bush adventures, to kayaking and mountain biking, there is something to appeal to even the most energetic teen.
