Neighbourhood Support Auckland members deeply saddened by tragedy
On behalf of all members of Neighbourhood Support Auckland City I would like to extend our sympathy to the families and colleagues of Sergeant Don Wilkinson, who was shot and killed in the line of duty in the early hours this morning, and to his partner who was severely wounded.
Neighbourhood Support members will be deeply saddened by these events as they have joined our organisation to support the police and the work they do in making our streets, neighbourhoods and communities safer and free from crime. Many of our members work very closely with the police to reduce crime and understand how deeply the police feel for their injured colleagues and their families.
