Body Found In River

A body, believed to be that of a missing Bay of Islands man, has been found in the river on Waikare Valley Road.
Police found the body early this afternoon during a search of the river banks.
The body has yet to be formally identified and the matter has been referred to the coroner.
Last Wednesday the body of Lavona Cherrington, aged 41 years, was found in the river and a search was mounted for her missing partner Kerry Michael Witt.
