Man Missing In Waikato River

A 21 year old male is missing after falling off a central city bridge into the Waikato River in Hamilton over night.
Police cars rushed to the river's banks after a phone call reporting the incident at about 11.20pm.
Witnesses saw the man leaning over the wet railing looking into the swollen river when he lost his footing. There are no suspicious circumstances.
The Police Rescue Boat was also launched to help in the search.
The missing person is described as a male Caucasian, wearing a black and white stripped woolen jersey, blue jeans and black shoes.
Victim Support are currently assisting distressed witnesses.
The search will continue in the morning.
