Project K Waitakere Signs Alloy Yachts As Regional Sponsor
Project K, a Foundation for Youth Development programme designed to inspire 14 – 15-year olds to maximise their full
potential, is pleased to announce Alloy Yachts as a new regional sponsor of the programme in Waitakere.
The three year agreement will support the delivery of the programme in the four Project K Waitakere schools: Kelston
Boys High, Massey High School, Rutherford College and Waitakere College.
Based in Henderson, Alloy Yachts is recognised as one of the leading super yacht builders in the world, winning 19
international awards over the last 22 years. Their objective is to strive for continual improvement in both excellence
and innovation with all projects.
Alloy Yachts Managing Director Tony Hambrook says of the partnership: “We saw a good fit between Project K and Alloy
Yachts’ objectives and are proud to support a positive initiative in the local community that encourages young adults to
aim high and reach for the top.”

Project K was co-founded by Graeme Dingle and Jo-anne Wilkinson in 1996 and is run in eight regions across the country.
Through the 14 month programme which consists of three core components; a Wilderness Adventure, Community Challenge and
12 months of Mentoring, students learn self reliance, teamwork, self confidence, perseverance and how to set and achieve
goals.
