Director External Relations appointed
Environment Canterbury has appointed Jackie Curtis to the position of Director External Relations, beginning June 23.
She is currently the Acting General Manager Partnerships and Programmes for Land Transport New Zealand (LTNZ), seconded to Wellington.
Prior to this, she was the LTNZ Partnership Manager Southern, based in Christchurch. She has also held a senior management position with Ngai Tahuand run her own communications company.
Jackie has a BA in English Literature and History, has completed postgraduate studies in Public Relations and is a graduate of the Senior Managers Development Programme from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
“She brings to the ECan external relations role a wealth of experience from her previous roles,” said ECan chief executive Dr Bryan Jenkins.
At ECan Ms Curtis will manage the wider communications team - information technology, customer services, resource care, environmental education, media liaison, public relations, publications and marketing.
The position was vacated recently by the shift of Wilma Falconer to Ngai Tahu to a corporate management position.
