Waikato Police are currently investigating the stabbing of a 2-year-old boy in Te Aroha at about 3pm on Monday the 5th May 2008.
Detective Sergeant Rod Carpinter of Matamata- Piako CIB said the child is currently in a stable condition in Waikato Hospital following overnight surgery.
"Further Police comment will be made after initial investigations have been completed and facts can be established."
